To honor the memory of all those killed that day, the American government decided that the Tower of Freedom should be built on this site.

In order to improve the safety of the structure, the designers decided to use concrete when building the lower level. Its height was 57 meters. On the other hand, many critics insisted that this part of the skyscraper should not look like a bunker. To solve this problem, in the decoration of the facade are applied numerous elements of glass.
The construction of a new construction began inDecember 2006, when the first steel columns were installed at its base. It is planned that three high office and one residential buildings will be built on the territory of the complex in the future. They want the city government to surround the open in 2011 memorial, dedicated to the tragic events. The final aspect in the construction was the installation of a metal spire. It weighs 758 tons and has a height of 124 meters. The Liberty Tower in New York was put into operation late last year. As of today, it is the tallest building in the United States (541 meters including the spire).
For office premises inside the tower is allocated about241 thousand square meters of square. In total, there are 69 floors in the lower part of the skyscraper. The construction of the facility was completed in late 2013, although it was commissioned a little later.
At the start of the preparatory work, before the installation of the steel columns, a memorial inscription with the name of the building and the emblem of the national flag was attached to the skyscraper.
