The Moscow region has a huge number of memorable historical places. Peredelkino is one of them. This place is well known not only in Russia, but also far beyond its borders.
In ancient times in these places was locatedthe village of Spasskoe-Lukino. Since that time, some monuments of culture, architecture, which have great historical significance, survived by a miracle. One of such priceless monuments is the Transfiguration Church.
In the XVII century the church in Peredelkino (Spassky-Lukino) began to surround peasant huts. Soon this place was called the Redevelopment. The village of Lukino became the center of the patrimony.
The Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior was first mentioned in 1646. By the beginning of the 18th century, the documents already describe two churches - including Spasskaya.
The wooden Spassky temple in Peredelkino had a stone church attached to it, which was consecrated in the name of Dmitry Rostovsky.
At the beginning of the XIX century, many settlements outside Moscowgreatly affected by the savage plunder of the French. In Lukin, many peasant households and a manor house were destroyed by fire. The same fate befell Izmalkovo. It remains a mystery why the French spared the temple in Peredelkino. Despite the fact that some of the property was stolen, the most valuable relics were preserved, thanks to the abbot John Yakovlev, who managed to bury the main relics in the ground.
In 1815 in the village a stone Spaso-Preobrazhenskaya church was built. This building is considered a vivid example of classicism.
When the estate began to belong to Bode-Kolychev,the appearance of the structure has changed. On the building there were artistic elements of the temple art of the XVII century. From that building to our time, "survived" keel portal, the royal gates and the iconostasis of the XVII century. Wall paintings, choirs refer to 1950.
After the Revolution, the shrine (oddly enough) was not destroyed. In 1924, they were going to close the temple, an appropriate decision was already taken, but for some reason it was not done.
In 1952 in Peredelkino solemnevent. This historic place became the official residence of the Patriarch of All Russia, who, I must say, fell in love with this place with all his heart. The creation of the Patriarch's residence seemed to have breathed new life into Peredelkino. The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord was repaired. Not far from it appeared a cemetery. Many well-known people found here eternal rest - clergymen, writers (K. Chukovsky, B. Pasternak and others).
The Savior-Transfiguration shrine since 1991 became the house of the Patriarch.
This wonderful idea of building a churchnear the Patriarch's residence - the merit of Patriarch Alexy II. He approved the original project in 2005 and decided to consecrate the church in the name of Prince Igor of Chernigov and Kiev. Alexy II personally chose the best place and blessed the beginning of the erection of the temple.
After four years of hard work of the best mastersOur new capital was the new capital, the magnificent Moscow. Peredelkino was adorned with an exquisite temple-tower, which combines elements of many styles of Russian architecture.
Porcelain heads of different colors are crowned with crosseshuge sizes. The facades, decorated with bright saturated majolica, give a sense of joy. The temple rises on a hillock, and its original shape, freshness and unusual architectural solutions invariably draw visitors' attention to themselves.
Many historical monuments are famous for Moscow.Peredelkino now is rightly proud of the church built in our time. Its interior decoration is unusual in terms of artistic decision and form. It gives an extraordinary feeling of openness and spaciousness, lightness and breadth, fullness of joy and light.
The sense center of the temple in Peredelkino, as however,in all Orthodox churches - white, with a gilded ceramic iconostasis. With it, perfectly coordinated kyoty with images, made in the same style. Belts of the ornament visually divide the walls into sectors, emphasizing their whiteness, and adding a touch of fabulousness.
In January 2010, His Holiness the Patriarch consecrated a stone laid in the foundation of the church in Peredelkino.
On June 17, 2012 the cathedral church of Igor Chernigov in Peredelkino was consecrated, and the first Liturgy was served.
The church is designed for 1200 parishioners. Just like the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the cathedral in Peredelkino has a stylobate and socle parts.
The authors who designed porcelain domes, longsought a solution to the seemingly unsolvable task - how to create original church dome that would be radically different from others and at the same time be reliable and durable.
The central dome of the temple has a diameter of 10 meters. Its main color is bright blue, perfectly combined with other colors.
The park-garden ensemble adjoins the temple, withsurviving by some miracle part of the ancient building and the obelisk dedicated to famous personalities from the boyars' family Kolychev, to which belonged Philip, the primate of the Orthodox Church of Rus in the 16th century.
This is one of the most revered and beloved saints in our country. The descendants of the prelate, the Kolychevs, made their own estate and temple a place of worship for the memory of this Saint saint.
Before the temple on the square there is a monumentGrand Duke Igor, as well as Saint Philip. Both saints became victims of political struggle. The monument symbolizes their unity, strength of spirit in the tragic moments of Russian history. In June 2013 the monument was consecrated.
