Biography
Vladimir Zakharov was born in the territorythe present Nizhny Novgorod region, then it was called Gorkovskaya. He began to sing in the kindergarten. At school I participated in various competitions and concerts. Inspired by the creativity of the teams "Resurrection" and "Time Machine", with the comrades in the 9th form, organized the first group. He attended music school, but left it because of conflict with his teacher. He became a student of the Pavlovsky Art College. He received a specialty engraver. Vladimir Zakharov achieved first success as a performer and musician in 1986, at the Gorky Rock Festival. There the newly formed collective of "Rock Island" was awarded the title of laureate. Since 2000 he mainly lives in Moscow. The musician and his family first rented an apartment in the north-western part of the capital, and then bought it. He lives not far from the Timiryazev Academy. It responds very warmly to the Nizhny Novgorod region, which is for our hero's family. Spends a lot of time in Worsme. There he builds a house.

Vladimir Zakharov was married several times. His first wife is Valentine. Since 1990, the wife of our hero is Svetlana Zakharova. In 1992, the musician had a daughter, Veronica.
Creative activity
Vladimir Zakharov is the creator of the group"Rock Islands". Almost all the musical activity of our hero is connected with this collective. During this period our hero went to Moscow. There he temporarily moved away from the dance style of his group and turned to the Russian chanson. In 2001, as a result of cooperation with the studio "Soyuz-Production" and Vyacheslav Klimenkov, a solo album entitled "The City" was recorded. A year later came "Podzemka" - the second record. In 2005, the album "Once Upon a Time" appeared. These works form together the trilogy "City". However, our hero does not conduct any definite boundaries between the solo career and the creativity of the "Rock Island" team. On the covers of his own albums, next to the author's name, is the name of the group. In 2001-2003, our hero participated in a project called "Kotui History". Its author is Vyacheslav Klimenkov, general producer of Soyuz-Production.
