The simple Ukrainian surname Gorenko was in Ani's housechildhood. It was the desire for creativity that prompted her to take the family name of her grandmother - the Tatar princess: so she managed to hide from her father her published poems under the name of Akhmatova.
Anna was an ordinary child with typical of herage inclinations and interests. Only the poems that were born from the heart did not give her rest. She wrote on those topics to which she was not indifferent, to which the soul responded.
She happened to visit many different placesplanets, to see the most diverse national and cultural traditions, which led to reflections on the destinies of the world. But one topic for a long time was alien to her - Yesenin paganism, nature worship, a sense of eternal connection with the surrounding world and the infinity of life.
Akhmatova never mentioned anysympathy for Yesenin or a tendency to his poetic images. And at first glance, the poets were different in style and themes of their works. But did not "his experience, the son of the mistakes of the difficult" play a role in the later worldview of Anna?
Akhmatova fell a lot of tests:war, hunger, loss of a beloved husband, the arrest of a son, persecution and injustice towards her. The faded shadow of the dear heart of Leningrad met her after the war. All this struck the poetess and, undoubtedly, inspired thoughts and influenced the world outlook.
