What is the foundation on piles

To build a screw foundation with your own hands,First of all, you need to understand what a screw pile is. It is a stainless steel pipe with a pointed tip, to which a blade is welded, resembling a propeller in appearance. The blade is screwed into the ground to the required depth. The depth of the pile depends directly on the type of structure for which the screw foundation is made by hand. A brick or wooden house, a bath or an economic unit requires different depths of screwing the pile into the ground, but in any case it can not be less than one and a half meters.

In addition, the screw foundation, built by oneself, assumes that after installation of the piles, it is possible to immediately begin further work on erecting the building, since it does not give a draft. The foundation on such piles is not without its drawbacks: it is the impossibility of the basement room equipment, the need to insulate the lower part of the building and the weight limitation of the erected building.
