Вольная борьба известна человечеству с самых ancient times. It allows more tricks than in the Greco-Roman style. But this is not enough to show all his skill, to throw out all his emotions. But still there is a form of such a struggle, where there are no rules and restrictions. The hero of our story today has reached unprecedented heights precisely in this direction.
The athlete was born on December 5, 1974 in a smallNogir village (570 meters above sea level) of North Ossetia (Alania), the Russian Federation. From the age of 11, he covered a distance of 10 kilometers to get to workout in Vladikavkaz at Dynamo Stadium. At first, Elbrus Teseyev drew attention to athletics. The height and weight of the athlete (167 cm, 62 kg) allowed him to engage in many disciplines. But not everyone can afford this sport. There were three children in their family, and they did not live very sweetly. It was not always possible to go to bed full, such were the times, as the champion himself recalls. For wrestling classes, no investment was required, and the militant spirit of the ancestors itself led the boy to the “free-winger” hall. We dealt seriously with persistence and special fanaticism. They could be in the hall for days, they even forgot to eat sometimes. As Elbrus himself says, you will eat a loaf for a day during a break, and again on the wrestling mat.
The first coach of the athlete was Arthur Bazayev, winnerthe USSR championship and the winner of the World Cup in freestyle wrestling, who, due to injury, could not compete, but raised many students. It is to this coach Tedeev Elbrus Soslanovich who is grateful for life values, which he absorbed like a sponge. Bazaev taught the young man that it was impossible to pass by someone's suffering, that the athlete should be first and foremost a worthy person. In the championship of Russia in 1992 among adult wrestlers of a 19-year-old Elbrus, a famous trainer from Ukraine, Boris Sauslohov, noted the famous coach. He invited the young athlete to continue training with him in Kiev. So in the fall of 1993, the athlete moved to Ukraine on the recommendation of a mentor, where he became a citizen of the country and continued to train in the hall of the Suvorov College.
In 1995, Tedeev Elbrus, speaking for the teamUkraine, wins its first world championship in freestyle wrestling, in the weight category up to 62 kg. The following year, the Olympic Games were held on the same platform in Atlanta, where Elbrus brought a bronze medal to his country. In Ankara in 1999, he won gold at the World Championships up to 63 kg, and in 2002 he became three times world champion in the weight category up to 66 kilograms.
Вес украинский спортсмен начал набирать потому, that on November 4, 2001, just before the championship, he was married to Faina Zaseeva. Prior to that, in a quick way, I had to snack in a cafe or cook myself. Today, they have three beautiful daughters - Diana, Tatiana and the youngest - Eve. She is also an Ossetian wife, an economist by education, but mostly engaged at home with her daughters. With great pleasure, the father himself loves spending time with them. Elbrus met with Faina at home. At that time she was a student at the Faculty of Economics in Vladikavkaz. The first thing that occurred to the athlete when he saw the future spouse - "Komsomol, athlete, beautiful!". For a long time, the lovers called up when Elbrus lived in Kiev. Even the phone was turned off for long-distance calls. The wedding was held in national traditions, however, there was no stealing the bride. Married in the Orthodox Church. Spouses dreamed that they had at least three children (as in the family of Elbrus). And so it happened, but like every father, Tedeev also dreams about his son.
Before that, Elbrus had two trainers, and nowa third appeared. So jokingly says the young spouse. According to Tedeev, no one put him on the shoulder blades, but Faina did it without a fight. Elbrus was ready to win not only the World Wrestling Championship, but also the Olympic Games. Spouse inspired her husband to new achievements in sports and in other areas.
Спортивная карьера Тедеева пошли вверх.Coach Boris Savlokhov said that it was imperative to glorify Ukraine, which sheltered him. And Tedeev Elbrus Soslanovich is worthy of this instruction, winning the gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Also at the Olympics closing ceremony, Elbrus was entrusted to carry the flag of the country. The same year begins the administrative and political activities of the athlete. Since 2004, Elbrus Tedeev has been taking office as the president of an organization called “The Association of Sports Fighting of Ukraine”, replacing his coach Boris Savlokhov, who died on April 24, 2004. Meanwhile, in Russia, Dzhambalat Tedeev (Elbrus cousin) from 2001 to 2012, he was the head coach of the men's freestyle wrestling team.
Elbrus and his colleague Irina Merleni were solemnly enrolled in the lists of the International Federation of Combined Styles of Fight (FILA).
Having graduated from two higher educational institutions in Ukraine, the athlete continues his further struggle. In place of sport comes administrative political activity. In 2006, Tedeev Elbrus Soslanovich received a deputy mandate, representing the Party of Regions in Ukraine, and became a people's deputy of the 5.6 and 7 convocations in the Verkhovna Rada. He also holds the position of First Deputy Head of the Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament on Family, Youth, Sports and Tourism. With his colleagues, he promotes projects for the development of children from low-income families and boarding schools.
In his native village Tedeev, Elbrus Soslanovich was awarded the construction of a monument in his honor.
После Олимпиады в Рио, где украинские борцы showed poor results, Tedeev Elbrus made the final decision. Now the Association of Sport Wrestling of Ukraine will develop without his participation. Anyway, the famous wrestler continues to inspire young people to go in for sports and lead a healthy lifestyle.
Exemplary family man brings up daughters with his wifewhich he affectionately calls Fainochka. When asked if his daughters would play sports at a professional level, Elbrus said: “No, it’s very difficult, and it’s just impossible for them, because we now have a full fridge of food, and in this situation, it’s possible to achieve high sports results impossible. " Elbrus regrets a little that their family has lost the traditions of their ancestors. Yes, and in their homeland, young people leave the place of the elders, who lived almost every 100 years. Modern civilization gives something, but not always this “something” we really need.
