It rarely happens that an athlete forall his sports career await only victory. Often, sport is an intricate set, in which the joy of victories, successful performances and bitter disappointment of failures, the inability to realize their sports ambitions are intertwined. The heroine of this essay, Anisimova Olga Viktorovna, waited for her first high-level success for a long twenty years. Through what had to go athlete for these years, she knows only one ...
Olga Anisimova was born in a small townBalakovo, which is located in the Saratov region. It happened on January 29, 1972. An ordinary working-class family, a small provincial town — there was very little chance of breaking out into a big sport from the start. But if fate gives you this chance, then you need to do everything you can to not miss it. Olga Anisimova grew up as a sports girl, this was noted by both the teacher of physical culture and her coach in skiing. However, to achieve something more in his native Balakovo was not possible. It was necessary to grow further, and for this it was necessary to move to another place where there will be more opportunities to grow professionally. And in 1987 Olga Anisimova decided to take this step.
After the end of 9 classes of general educationschool in his native Balakovo, Olga faced the question of obtaining further education. At that time, the girl no longer saw herself outside the sport. The choice fell on the Leningrad School of Sports Reserve. It was there that the fifteen-year-old Olga Anisimova went to do. Received a girl without any problems, despite the fact that the competition in a prestigious sports facility was quite serious. Studying was easy, sports training brought joy. The first successes were not long in coming, and already in the second year Olga got into the junior team of the Soviet Union in such a remarkable sport as biathlon (women).
First serious international successcompetition came to Olga in 1989. Speaking at the junior world championships as part of the USSR national team, the Russian biathlete Olga Anisimova became a real hero. In her world championship debut, the athlete managed to win two gold and two silver medals. In the biathlon world, they began to seriously talk about the appearance of a rising star from the USSR. Despite the age so young for this sport (at that time Olga Anisimova was only 17 years old), she perfectly combined two basic qualities: running and shooting. It would seem a little more, and our team (biathlon (women)) will get an excellent athlete for many years. However, everything turned out to be much more complicated.
In 1991, Olga Anisimova married, and alsoa year later, a son, Vitaly, appeared in the family of young spouses. For several years, biathlon had to forget. Returning to big-time sports was very difficult, affecting the loss of the most defining years, in terms of sports. It was incredibly difficult to restore the former form, literally step by step moving towards the intended goal. In addition, there were financial problems, the 90s were in the yard, there was incredibly little money in sports. Olga Anisimova’s position was almost hopeless: the lack of housing, a tiny scholarship. In addition, it was time to give his son to school. Russian biathlete Olga Anisimova decides to leave St. Petersburg and try her luck in a new place. For all the time spent in this city, the athlete only a few times performed at the World Cup. The best result shown by Olga is the 10th place in the individual race in Ostersund. It was necessary to change something ...
Tyumen region has always been a patrimonydomestic biathletes. In Khanty-Mansiysk there was one of the best biathlon bases in Russia. The quite famous coach Valery Zakharov became the personal trainer of Olga Anisimova. Step by step, the athlete gradually restored her sporting condition. But to get into the main Russian national team was incredibly difficult. And then Valery Zakharov advised Olga to break into the main team through participation in the European Cup. Despite the sonorous name, it represented the second echelon of the biathlon elite. For the most part, there were young biathletes who were not participating in the main teams of their teams. Gradually, Olga began to think about the completion of a sports career. At this time, in parallel with the biathlon classes, a woman received a higher education, studying by correspondence at the Faculty of Economics.
Gradually, through the European Cup starts, OlgaAnisimova was approaching her optimal form. Went victories in individual races, prizes. Despite a serious age by biathlon standards, Olga again began to be considered as a candidate for entering the main national team. The first step to this was taken in 2004 in Belarus. The next European Biathlon Championship was held in Minsk, and Olga Anisimova joined the Russian national team. The triumph for our women's team was the 4x6 km relay. Olga started at the first stage. Perfectly having shot a bench, the athlete made one mistake when shooting while standing. However, this did not prevent her from finishing in her second stage, only 4 seconds losing to the Belarusian biathlon Ekaterina Ivanova. In the future, our girls, with the efforts of Svetlana Chernousova, Natalia Sokolova and Irina Malgina, managed to noticeably detach themselves from their pursuers and win European gold in the relay race.
The following season, Olga continued to perform inthe European Cup scoring, and she did it so successfully that in two stages before the end of the European season Anisimova became inaccessible to her rivals.
Successful performances at the stages of the European Cup are notwent unnoticed by the Russian national team coaches. After the 2006 Winter Olympics, held in Turin, Italy, a number of biathletes completed their careers in the national team. And Olga Anisimova at the sunset of her career achieved the desired, got into the national team of Russia. The season of 2006/07 can be called the most significant in the career of an athlete. Stable speaking at almost all stages of the World Cup, Olga took 21st place in the total total. Just behind her remained a permanent place in the relay team of Russia. At the World Cup stages, the Russian national team with Anisimova twice made the first place. These results allowed us to consider our team the main favorite of the relay race at the World Championships in Italian Anterselva. However, in this race, our team was waiting for a major failure. Olga Anisimova, speaking for the Russian national team in the third stage, could not cope with shooting from a standing position. As a result, two penalties drove our team from the podium. Only the seventh final place behind the German team for more than two minutes. Nevertheless, despite the failure in the relay race, this season for Olga Anisimova could be recorded as an asset.
Despite the good performances,it came to be understood that age no longer allows one to fully realize oneself on the track. Olga Anisimova for some time continued to perform at the biathlon competition, alternating participation in the World Cup with the return to the European Cup. The 2010/11 season was the last in the sports career of an athlete. The last were the races for the Cup of Russia and participation in the traditional biathlon tournament "Izhevsk rifle". At the age of 39, Olga Anisimova decided to end her career as a professional athlete.
One can only admire such a woman whoshe sacrificed her career at a certain stage for the sake of the family, for the sake of raising her son. And she found the strength to return to the big sport after several years of a break, and not just return, but also achieve major sporting success.
