How the machine is made: classic and modern

From the very childhood of boys, and many girls,attracts such a miracle of technology as a car. Glittering with her paintwork, rumbling with a velvet tone of the engine and bewitching headlights winking, the car delights and captivates children and adults in the courtyards of houses and on the roads of the city.

A car in the classic sense

To understand how a machine is made, let's considerthe simplest classical toy model. At the moment, smaller copies of cars are so perfectly repeat the original that there is no better example. So, the main parts of any machine:

• a body, a metal skeleton of the car of various updatings from a coupe to the versatile person;
• chassis, wheelbase, interconnected by axles and rods;
• motor, internal combustion engine;
• transmission, gearbox.

The most important as when creating a children's toy,and in the matter of this car remains the wheel invented in antiquity. Of course, it is not a part of the body, but in most other units it is used in the majority.

Let's start, perhaps, with the chassis.In addition, that the wheel is the main element, so all other parts are a combination of large and small wheels and balls in the form of bearings, brake discs and other things. In the presence of denticles on the wheel, it smoothly passes into the category of gears and (in aggregate) the camshafts, which form a gearbox and engine elements, and the point in the statement that the main wheel in the car puts the steering wheel. Important in the classical version, and in the modern, remains the electrical power of all devices on the wires from the battery and the generator.

Legends of the era, or Modern Machine

Every year brings new achievements inautomotive industry, and modern technologies are increasingly being introduced into the classic image of the machine. Today, more often on the streets of cities you can find cars with an alternative or hybrid engine, working on various types of fuel and energy. Usual radio cassette recorder does not attract buyers like a standard head unit with the ability to connect cameras and sensors needed for parking, as well as additional connectors for modern devices. The annual presentation at several international car show-centers of concept cars increasingly draws people's attention not to how the car is made, whether it is real, but whether it will be a production model or a bench stand. Therefore, every year the car turns into new futuristic objects, erasing the classical understanding of the name and its essence.

Real car capabilities from the screen

On the screen, the cars of the main characters are simplyare fantastic in their characteristics. They can be transferred in time, transformed into huge robots, managed from a smartphone or remote control, recognize speech and analyze situations while driving. But the most important function of all cars in the cinema is protection from the opposing side and possession of technologies that give an advantage over the rival.

For many legends in the movies it does not matter how donemachine, the main thing - from what. Some auto-heroes are endowed with a bullet-proof body and glass, others - the presence of additional, so to speak, attachments in the form of weapons, scanners and other chips. Almost all of them are fast and maneuverable, even the "Volga" from the Soviet film on the screen looked more fleet, and the waltz with the use of driving maneuvers plunged into the delight of the domestic viewer. In fact, few cars from the movie screen are not that they do not really exist, but even are unable to move independently. Most, of course, is an advanced prototype of the serial models of existing cars, and in a symbiosis with skillful actions of professionals from motorsport are ready to surprise and shock us. But do not play yourself with illusions - since the machine for the film is made, it will never be presented on the mass market.

Epic trilogy "Taxi" and engineering finds

Separately I want to mention a car fromFrench trilogy about the "usual" taxi. Such changes the serial car was not exposed in any movie. What just did not come up with the designers (and probably the whole cinematographic group) to create the image of the French supercar! The announcement of each subsequent series was accompanied by a lot of comments and headlines with one single phrase: "And this time how is the car made from the movie" Taxi "going to be?" The efforts of tuning designers and computer graphics engineers allowed the usual city taxi not only to change its appearance, but and ride through the snowy mountains and even fly.
