Feta is a traditional Greek cheese, which has been produced for many centuries from sheep's and goat's milk.
It is aged for at least three months in saltbrine, because of what it gets a characteristic salty taste and a pleasant smell. The fat content of cheese ranges from 30% to 60%, so it can not be attributed to dietary varieties. However, many feta do not eat, it is too salty, but it is ideal for salads. Salad with feta cheese is a visiting card of Greek cuisine. It can be ordered at almost any cafe in the world. But this is not the only recipe in which feta ideally emphasizes the rest of the ingredients. There are many such dishes, and with some of them I want to introduce you. But let's start with the traditional Greek salad - where without it! For him we will need:
- 300 g of feta cheese;
- 3 cucumbers;
- 3 medium tomatoes or 9 cherry tomatoes;
- 1 Bulgarian pepper;
- half a sweet onion;
- a jar of olives or olives;
- olive oil;
- fresh basil;
- sea salt.

Warm salad with feta cheese

- a bunch of greenery (dill, parsley);

Cover and let it simmer over low heat. In the meantime, scald the tomatoes with boiling water and peel them off, finely chop and add to the beans. Again, cover the frying pan with a lid and simmer the vegetables until the tomatoes are completely soft and turn into a tomato paste. At the same time, they must be constantly stirred and crushed periodically, so that they soften faster. When the beans are ready, put it in a deep bowl. While it has not cooled down, add the remaining ingredients: chopped tuna, finely chopped greens and feta cubes. Mix everything thoroughly, add a little olive oil and salt with pepper to taste. From the heat of the bean, the cheese should melt slightly, which will give it even more softness. Also remember that all salads with feta cheese should not be salted abundantly, because cheese already contains enough salt. And if you want to make it more fresh, then, before preparing the dish, keep the cheese for about half an hour in mineral water or milk.
