Since 1970, Ryashentsov is a member of the Writers 'Union, and since 1992 he has been a member of the PEN Club (International Writers' Society).
The writer was born on June 16, 1931 in Leningrad.In his memoirs about childhood, he writes that he was a very spoiled child who enjoyed the love of not only the whole family, but also friends, and neighbors. And in the 7th grade, the teacher of literature called Ryashentseva Ilya Ilyich, comparing him with Oblomov, who in childhood was also loved and spoiled by everyone.
When the boy was 3 years old, the family moved to Moscow. His mother was a knitwear artist. His father was repressed in 1938 and died. The writer's stepfather was arrested in 1949.

Only in 1955 Ryashentsev begins to publish his first works in the journal “Youth”. The author himself believes that he should have started writing literature much earlier.
In 1962, Yuri Evgenievich invited to work in the journal "Youth", in the department of poetry. The writer worked at this place until the 90s, helping to publish for the first time many young poets.
To date, six poems have been published.collections Ryashentseva. The first was called "Hearth" and was printed in 1967. And the poems of the poet were at least once published in the pages of all central Russian and Soviet literary magazines.
The second book of poems by Ryashentsev was published in 1972 and was called "The Clock over the Lane".
Yury Evgenievich Ryashentsev himself considers hisdebut in the theater play "Poor Lisa", which was staged in 1973 on the stage of the Leningrad Academic Bolshoi Theater. The work was written in collaboration with Mark Rozovsky. Also for the play Ryashentsev wrote lyrics for songs.

For the writer, the sixties are primarily associated with fame, Ryashentsev himself says that he has nothing to do with fame and is not interested in it. The poet never wanted to “wake up famous”, he was interested in much more interesting things - the surrounding reality, the speed of life, the beauty of nature.
Nevertheless, Ryashentsev had a good relationship.with almost all the sixties. Among them are A. Voznesensky, E. Yevtushenko, R. Rozhdestvensky, and B. Akhmadulina - the writer even managed to play volleyball and tennis with all these people. They were all good friends for Ryashentsev. However, the writer does not include himself in their number. Yury Evgenyevich says that his main desire throughout his life was one thing: not to have bosses over himself.
The personal life of the writer was quite stormy:he has two divorces. For the first time, Rshentsev married while still in college. It was a thoughtless step, the cause of which was a fleeting passion. It is therefore not surprising that the union did not last long - after a year and a half the couple divorced.
The next wife of the poet was Olga Batrakova,working as an editor at Mosfilm and having membership in the Russian Union of Cinematographers. In this marriage, Ryashentsev had two children: a daughter, Maria (1962) and a son, Eugene (1976). However, in the end, the couple still divorced. Yuri Ryashentsev does not particularly like to talk about this stage of his life.
Galina Polidi, playwright and librettist, has becomenext chosen by the writer. This marriage turned out to be the most successful for Ryashentsev in all respects. In addition to the companion of life, he found in the person of the spouse a wonderful collaborator.
