Andrei Nekrasov - a writer, essayist, prose writer, better known to the reader as the author of the adventures of the famous captain Vrungel and his faithful helpers - Fuchs and Loma.

Andrei Sergeevich Nekrasov was born in Moscow on June 22, 1907. Adventure literature son of a doctor was fond of childhood itself; Marco Polo's Travels made a special impression on him.

In 1935, the world saw the book "Sea Boots" -a collection of stories, in which the author shares with the reader stories about the hard working lives of sailors in the North. In 1936, the publication of the book "The Tale of Comrade Kirov," written in collaboration with several writers, took place.
The book "The Adventures of Captain Vrungel",published in 1937 and bringing popularity to its author, was translated into many languages and reprinted several times. The captain’s prototype was a long-time acquaintance A.M. Vronsky, who headed the first whaling trust in the Far East and often at his leisure entertained his friends with invented stories. At the same time, writer Bogdanov N.V. He reasonably believed that one of the prototypes of Christopher Bonifatich was Nekrasov himself, who humorred the editorial staff with fascinating stories and tales.
The book was met by critics of the time.ambiguous. So, Lev Kassil praised the story written for people who love jokes, who appreciate the intricate beauty of fables and who notice the true narrow-minded meaning in ridiculous absurdities. Writer I. Rakhtanov predicted an early oblivion to the frivolous work, but 30 years later he changed his mind by including Vrungel in the category of books destined for a happy long life.
Almost immediately after the publication of the children's bookwas withdrawn from sale, and the author, who at that time held the post of assistant to the 1st secretary of the Dnipropetrovsk regional committee, was arrested and sent to the construction of the Norilsk plant.
In 1941, Andrei Nekrasov volunteered to go to the front, serving in the aviation and infantry; from 1942 he was an employee of the front-line newspaper. In 1943 he joined the Union of Writers of the USSR.
In 1944, having got under the wheels of a merciless repressive machine, the writer was convicted by a Military Tribunal for 3 years.
In 1953, a new book by the author “Enviable Biography” saw the light. Nekrasov is also the author of the work The Fate of the Ship (1958) and a series of popular science books.
After rehabilitation, the writer was a guide.closed yacht club for Soviet captains and even got one of the decommissioned German yachts, which in honor of the book analogue called "trouble." When launched, the ship sank, completely justifying its name, and after repairing it, having hit the power line with steel guys, it burned down altogether.
Until the last days, Nekrasov, Andrei Sergeevich, was on the editorial board of the literary almanac “Ocean” and the magazine “Pioneer”. He died at the age of 80, February 15, 1987.
