Eggplants are a frequent guest on our table, although for some reason we buy them in the store, or if we do not have the desire, or the opportunities to grow them ourselves. It turns out that there is nothing difficult in planting aubergines in the area (if any). Cultivation and care - not the most difficult, but still something to know will not hurt.
Eggplants are no less thanpopular than cucumbers or the same tomatoes, the technique of growing from the latter differ only in that they grow more slowly. Branching in eggplants is very poorly expressed, and therefore the cultivation of aubergines in open ground consists in the development of three lateral shoots along thethe edges of plant growth, so to speak for a more successful fetal formation. The fruit, as a rule, grows at the point where the branching of the plant is concentrated at the point of onset, this leads to the conclusion: the earlier branching begins earlier and active fruiting also begins. Additional roots of the plant do not grow, so eggplants do not require hilling and processing.
If you plant the seedlings of eggplant and keeptemperature of 15 degrees, then in the greenhouse flowering will begin in about 40-45 days, on the open ground a little later. From this we can conclude that the cultivation of aubergines in a greenhouse is much more profitable, faster and more fruitful than growing aubergine in the open ground. Fruiting eggplants begin about 10 days later than tomatoes. Therefore, planting aubergines, growing and nursing you should exercise daily, as this is a very demanding plant.
Soil is required the same as in the cultivationtomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and other similar plants. Eggplant also requires phosphoric food, starting from the moment the seed is planted in seedlings. For the best development of seedlings add superphosphate to the soil. Plant the eggplant immediately after planting tomatoes and peppers. Planting aubergines in open ground, it is necessary to have a material (at least plastic bottles) to protect the plant from frosts, while covering the fruit with a bottle, it should be remembered that it should not come into contact with the plant, otherwise it is possible that the plant will freeze. When preparing the soil and applying fertilizer, consider that eggplants need to be prepared just like peppers or tomatoes. By the way, aubergines can even be grown in a greenhouse with peppers and tomatoes. Seedlings need to be planted in two rows, leaving 50 centimeters between the rows and 25 centimeters between the eggplants themselves.
It turns out that sunny heat is not only lovedtomatoes and peppers, but also eggplant. Cultivation and care, in this regard, should be aimed at keeping the heat in the greenhouse. Of course, it is impossible to direct the weather, but to close all the windows and doors in cloudy weather, it does not hurt. This will contribute to the fact that inside there will be heat, albeit not as sunny weather.
Watering of plants is carried out by warm water.Eggplants need to be watered less often and less than peppers, but at the same time to watch that they do not dry up and do not start to fade. Strengthen watering during fruiting. Eggplant fruits should be harvested until they begin to burn. They need to be cut with a peduncle after seven to eight days. Also, the fruits of peppers are cut, not waiting for their yellowing, or redness. It is worth paying attention to the fact that eggplant, like pepper, is perishable and requires careful storage. Fresh keep them difficult, so you can go for the trick and freeze. And, of course, do not forget that you can also use aubergines to prepare salads, rolls and much more. Cultivation and care of these vegetables will allow you to get a good harvest if you do everything right.
