If you still think that the museum is boringand dusty exhibits or a string of paintings hung on the white walls, then you certainly did not visit modern museums. Today it is not just a collection of exhibits, it's interactive centers, containing a variety of art objects. One of these places is the recently opened museum of emotions in St. Petersburg.
According to the idea of its creator, artist AlexeiSergienko, this is a place where a person can experience such strong emotions, which sometimes does not happen in a lifetime. According to him, the idea to create a museum of emotions came to him from childhood, when every minute was long, and an hour could seem like an eternity. For an adult person, the hour is nothing, it flies by unnoticed, and it's all about emotions. As a child, they are stronger than ever, so they fill every minute of life with strong feelings. To experience something like this and offers an artist in his museum.
The entire space of the gallery is divided into rooms, each of which is designed to demonstrate and evoke this or that emotion. All rooms are connected by corridors, the task of which is to move from one emotion to another. However, the corridors themselves have a certain function - to prepare a person for what lies ahead, adjust it to the appropriate mode.
To create the appropriate moodUse art objects, installations, video and photo materials. Many objects are aimed at tactile perception, so in the room of joyful surprise the guests are waiting for a soft jumping floor imitating the sky in an inverted world, and an unpleasant cellophane in the corridor near the disgust room prepares for the sight of stuffed animals, insects and animals. In the room of fear, you can not only sit on an electric chair or lie in a coffin, but also see how your portrait will look on the tombstone. From the pleasant rooms that the Museum of Emotions offers - a room of love with a huge red heart from plastic tubes, an inspiration room where you can paint with crayons gleaming in the dark and a room of joy with a throne and crooked mirrors that make you laugh.
It is noteworthy that this museum is the first of its kindnot only in Russia, but all over the world. Therefore, the author prepared the exposition for a long time, consulted with psychologists and psychiatrists for 5 years, studied relevant literature, all in order to fill the halls of the museum with those objects that can evoke the most vivid emotions.
The Museum of Emotions works late, so if you want you can tickle your nerves right before going to bed - the last tour starts at 22.30.
In general, the museum is open from 11 am to 23 pm.
To plunge into the world of emotions, adults will have to pay 600 rubles, and for children, students and pensioners in the museum of emotions a ticket price is only 300 rubles.
There is also a family ticket - two adults with children.can pass just 1000 rubles.
