The time of creation of the Nizhny Novgorod StateThe technical university may well consider the year 1898, and the place of the distant Polish capital is the city of Warsaw, where the Imperial Polytechnic Institute was opened.
In 1915 the school was transferred to theMoscow because of the approaching front line of the First World War, and in 1916 - in Nizhny Novgorod, in temporary premises. Here, a set was made, and out of four and a half thousand applicants began to learn four hundred people. In 1918, by merging with other educational institutions, the Nizhny Novgorod State University was established, which included, besides the Polytechnic Institute, the People's University, agricultural courses, a pedagogical institute and medical courses. Total - six faculties: chemical, mechanical, construction, agronomical, pedagogical and medical.
Then, in 1930, instead of one differentthe university was formed six special: engineering and construction, agricultural, pedagogical, medical, chemical-technological and mechanical-engineering. Mechanics and Engineering Institute and became the foundation for the formation of the university, which today is the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. Then there were six specializations in the technical department, four - on the design and mechanical, two - on the shipbuilding. In the chemical technology institute there were five departments: skin cover technologies (wool, leather), silicate technologies, wood chemistry, fats and oils and the foundations of the chemical industry.
The future Nizhny Novgorod state technicalthe university actively develops its departments until 1933, whereby the departments are abolished and the faculties are formed: industrial-machine building, shipbuilding and technology. And in 1932, HTI and MMI are merged into the Industrial Institute of Gorky (GII). Faculties: general engineering, chemical engineering, transport engineering and mechanical and technological.
In 1936, a radio faculty was opened in the GII, andtransport and machine-building has been transformed into shipbuilding. In 1938, a postgraduate course was opened. In 1939, the automotive (auto mechanics) faculty was opened and general engineering was abolished, as students began to specialize directly from the first year. From the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology in 1940, a new faculty was separated: forging and pressing equipment.
The war took two thirds of the staff in the battlesNearly five hundred people died, and six hundred students left the institute in the first few days. The rest of the teachers, students and staff built defensive fortifications, worked in workshops and laboratories, performing research for the defense industry.
For participation in the project and scientific work of three hundredpeople were awarded government awards. Students simultaneously studied and worked in defense enterprises. Difficult years were marked by the Great Victory, in which the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University made a huge contribution.
В 1947-м снова прошла реорганизация:the radio faculty was transformed into electrical engineering with two specialties: electronics and radio engineering. The Faculty of Mechanics has combined three - forging and pressing, automechanical and mechanical and technological. In 1950, the GII became known as the Gorky Polytechnic Institute. At the same time, the metallurgical faculty was organized;
В 1953-м открылся первый филиал - Сормовский, а в 1956, the second - Dzerzhinsky. In 1958, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was established. In 1959, the GPI acquired a training base - the Foundry-Mechanical Plant. In 1962, the Faculty of Physics and Technology was opened. Ten years later, the Faculty of Radio Engineering is being transformed into a modern one - radio electronics and cybernetics. In 1980, the GPI received the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. In 1992, the university was renamed Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University.
In 1993, the NSTU acquiressocio-economic faculty. In 2007, on the order of the Federal Agency of NSTU, receives the name: Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. R. E. Alekseeva. The history of this glorious university is far from over. Everything that happens today will inevitably soon become a story that will surely be filled with new achievements.
The development of the school is not completed, the workmoves systematically. Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. R. E. Alekseeva today has nine research institutes and faculties, five large and well-equipped branches: Arzamas, Dzerzhinsky, Vyksa, Zavolzhsky and Pavlovsky.
The NSTU division is developing dynamically. The Institute of Transport Systems, which was created by the merger of the Faculty of Aviation and Marine Engineering and Automotive Faculty. Since 1921 (from creation) more than twenty-seven thousand high-class specialists have prepared and started working for the good of the country, including prominent science and technology figures, high school teachers, major leaders in industry, transport, and educational and scientific organizations.
Nizhny Novgorod State TechnicalUniversity. For over seventy years Alekseeva has a teaching and research department: an institute that deals with radio electronics and information technology. The experience he has accumulated is vast and diverse, recognized outside the borders of our country.
Training of both engineering and scientific personnelat this institute is at a very high level: among the graduates there are seven Lenin Prize winners, more than fifty State Prize laureates, dozens of doctors of science and many hundreds of candidates of science. The management staff of the scientific and engineering staff of the largest research institutes of the industry is to a very large extent staffed by specialists who have been educated here, at IRIT NSTU. Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University has long been famous for its remarkably trained personnel.
In 1974, the order was signed to createthe city of Dzerzhinsk branch of the GPI, and in 2004 the branch was renamed. The history of DPI is tightly connected with the vital activity of the country and, of course, with the history of the head university. Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after Alekseev participated in the construction of chemical enterprises, in many military defense orders, in the development of the engineering industry of the country.
Created research institutesThe chemical industry developed. Could not stay away from the pressing problems of Russia and the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. The Dzerzhinsky Branch is a glorious page in the history of NSTU.
The base department of DPI is engaged in chemistry andtechnology of organic nitrogen compounds. It was created for the training of specialists to strategic partners - the State Research Institute of Crystal and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Sverdlov Plant for additionally agreed programs. Another basic department of "Modern Technologies of Applied Programming" works for targeted training of highly qualified specialists in LLC "Mera Nizhny Novgorod", deepening and expanding educational, scientific and industrial relations. The third basic department of "Power supply: design and automation" is an integrated structure of two departments of DPI ("Physics and Electrical Engineering" and "Automation and Information Systems") and JSC "NIPOM" ("Research and Development Enterprise of General Engineering").
In addition, the department has the following departments:"Chemical technology", "Technologies and equipment of chemical and food industries", "Automation, transport and information systems", "Energy, economics, applied mathematics", "Humanities". Here they prepare specialists that Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University is proud of: the departments are well-equipped with high-class specialists and have an excellent modern technical base.
Филиал в Арзамасе существует с 1968-го года, It was created on the basis of a consultation center and an evening faculty. It was planned educational institution as a branch of the MAI. However, despite all the renovations and renaming, the main task of the branch has never changed: engineering cadres of radio engineering, aircraft instrumentation, engineering specialties are trained for the entire Volga-Vyatka region, for enterprises of the Gorky region and Arzamas in particular.
From the very beginning, at the evening department,There were only two hundred and twenty-five students who were taught twenty teachers. Now there are two and a half thousand students, but each graduate still values the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. The Arzamas branch has two large faculties, a preparatory department and a Center for Educational Services. Training day, evening and correspondence. Eighty teachers are teaching, among them five professors, more than forty candidates and doctors of science.
