Moving forward mechanics and electronics, developmenttechnology could not touch the devices, mechanisms and ways to protect people and property from fire. Once in the reign of John IV, the introduction of round-the-clock watch on special towers was progressive. Such a “warning system” helped to take measures in time and prevent burnout from the fire of the whole city, allowing it to limit the destruction of several buildings.
Today, a key role in ensuring firesafety belongs to electronics. Smart machines are able not only to detect the source of fire at a very early stage and report it, but also to start extinguishing it.
The "eyes" of any fire system aredetectors are devices that directly react to certain fire factors and form an appropriate electrical signal. The device DIP 34A has a number of unique technical characteristics that allow an order of magnitude increase in the effectiveness of fire-fighting automatic systems.
The very first detectors used in systemsproduced during the USSR, reacted only to temperature. Soldered low-melting (about 60 ° C) by solder, the elastic plates were separated when heated, the electrical contact was lost, which was fixed by the receiving device.
Modern detectors, in particular the considered DIP 34A, work differently. It is known that the optical properties of gases strongly depend on the presence of impurities in them, as well as on temperature.
Infrared rays are particularly sensitive to the slightest changes in the gas-air mixture. These physical properties and uses the detector DIP 34A for early detection of fire.
The device consists by and large of the LED -source of infrared radiation and the receiver - a special system of lenses and photosensitive element. A small air gap between them is all that DIP 34A needs in order to monitor the state of the protected object. The considered device is designed for continuous monitoring of the state of the air inside the closed premises and issuing a signal in case of any changes. By the way, not only the occurrence of a fire can inform DIP 34A. The characteristics of this detector allow to distinguish smoke in the room from dust entering the diffuser. Smart signal processing even distinguishes smoke from cigarette smoke (negligent smokers are a real scourge of fire protection systems, the source of 90% of all false positives).
With the full characteristics of the device DIP 34A can be found when reading the instructions, here are just some of its distinctive data:
- an intelligent signal processing system capable of distinguishing the occurrence of a fire from dusting a room, insects entering the diffuser, and the presence of tobacco smoke in the air;
- the widest temperature range (from 30 degrees of frost to plus 55) makes it possible to use the device both in heated and unheated rooms;
- extremely small inertia of operation - no more than 10 seconds;
- a small current consumption in the operating mode - about half milliampere;
- service life of 10 years.
