Donetsk "Shakhtar" has been known for many years asincubator of Brazilian talents. The Ukrainian club buys young Brazilians for a pittance, then grows them for several years, and then sells them to the leading clubs in Europe for much more impressive sums. One of the striking examples is Luis Adriano. Of course, this is not Douglas Costa, for example, for which "Bavaria" has posted 35 million euros, but he also passed the "mining" stage before moving to one of the leading European championships. In which clubs did Louis Adriano play? And where is he performing now?
Brazilian football player Luis Adriano was born on 12April 1987, he did not plan to become a professional football player and for a long time acted only at the amateur level, until in 2004 he was spotted by the scouts of "Internacional". The 17-year-old agreed to join the youth squad of the club, and a year later he was offered a professional contract. In the 2006 season, he made his debut for the Brazilian club in the first team, playing in the amount of 15 matches and scoring two goals in them. At the end of the year, many European clubs drew attention to young talent, and Luis Adriano spent only half of the next season in Internacional, having appeared on the field in nine games and scoring one goal. In the summer of 2007, he was in Donetsk "Shakhtar", which gave him three million euros.
Unlike most Brazilians passingthrough "Shakhtar" and leaving him after two or three years, Adriano stayed for a longer period. For eight seasons, the Brazilian was one of the key players of the Ukrainian club, having won six Ukrainian Championships, four Ukrainian Cups, five Super Cups of Ukraine, and most importantly the 2009 European League. Yes, first Luis Adriano, a footballer without special training at a young age, could not settle in the new club. In the first two seasons he scored just 14 goals. But over time, Adrian got used to what is happening around, began to feel as comfortable as possible and immediately began to score an impressive number of goals. For eight years he appeared on the field in 266 games, scoring 128 goals. Best for him was the season 13/14, in which the Brazilian scored 25 goals in 39 matches, twenty of them in the Championship of Ukraine, becoming the best scorer of the season. But in 2015, the stay of the striker in the Ukrainian club came to an end, the crisis in Milan saw Adriano hope for salvation and bought it for eight million euros. Of course, this is not the 35 million that were paid for Douglas Costa in the same year, but the age of the player was not the same as that of Costa. After all, at the time of his move to Italy, Louis was already 28 years old.
After such a long period in Shakhtar, finally, changed the club registration of Luis Adriano. "Milan" even in the crisis remained a very respected club, so it was a great honor for the Brazilian to be there. However, while the Italian club signed another striker, Carlos Bacchus, who in class was definitely higher than Adriano. Therefore, the Brazilian was in the shadow of another football player, during the season he spent only 29 matches, scoring only six goals. In the summer of 2016, Milan was going to sell Adriano as superfluous, as M'Baye Niang was also revealed, and the multi-million dollar deal with the Chinese club was almost complete, but in the end something went wrong and Adriano stayed. In the current season, he spent only three games, not scoring a single goal.
For the Brazilian team, Adriano played only four games - all friendly in the season 14/15. Luis was not able to score any goals scored and since March 2015, the national team was not called.
