The Opera and Ballet Theater in Dnepropetrovsk waswas founded in the first third of the 20th century. The troupe was formed by talented people - director Mark Litvinenko, choirmaster Vasily Kyose, conductor Pyotr Varivoda and choreographer Lyudmila Voskresenskaya. Artists, in order to get to the Dnepropetrovsk theater, passed a strict selection. The troupe was based on graduates of choreographic schools and conservatories from different cities of the USSR.

Children from 9 to 17 years old can take part in the exhibition-competition.
