Novosibirsk State Conservatory namedGlinka opened her doors to students in 1956. She became the first musical university in Siberia. The name of Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka has been conservatory since 1957.

Concert hall

Novosibirsk Conservatory has twoconcert halls - Small and Large. In the first there are chamber programs, in the second - large ones. The large hall is considered to be one of the best venues in the city. Its capacity is 470 seats. The organ is installed in the hall, as well as three concert pianos.

The opening of this stage was held in 1968. In honor of this event, a concert was held, at which students and teachers of the conservatory performed.

In the Great Hall are held a variety of concerts,performances, promotions, meetings, exams, rehearsals. It is here that guests of the city who came on tour perform. During the school year, more than a hundred concerts are held in the Great Hall.
