Kheifets Leonid Efimovich - theater director anddirector (tried himself as an actor, and as a teacher), an active public figure, and also since 1993 People's Artist of the Russian Federation. To this day, Leonid Kheyfets is a professor at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts.
Leonid Efimovich Kheyfets forever remain onthe pages of Russian theatrical art as an exceptionally talented director. His works are loved by all people: both by the generation of the bloom of his work - by the generation of people of the seventies, and by the current audience, which is already very difficult to surprise with something. Yet Kheyfetsu brilliantly succeeds. His reworked classic plays and performances allow theatergoers to have a dialogue with great writers, absorb their thoughts and understand them.
Свой жизненный путь Леонид начал в родственной for Russia, the country is in Belarus. In 1934, on May 4, the future director was born in Minsk. At that time not a single soul had suspected how an active little boy could grow up, as well as all the children who loved to play war and walk late. Even Leonid's parents were not prepared for the fact that their son would turn away from the path that was customary for everyone and would choose the creative path - difficult, thorny, but giving many possibilities.
And so it happened in the future:instead of studying to the end of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute, as his father wanted, Kheifets on the last courses leaves this type of activity in order to enter the desired institution.
Kheifets Leonid Efimovich submits documents to GITIS -a place where his director's potential can unfold like nowhere else. Naturally, the young Heifetz is studying at the directing department, and this is where his first steps towards the theater begin.
The course GITIS, in principle, could not seem to someoneeasy, but Kheifetz coped easily with his studies, obviously feeling like a fish in water, on the first trial shooting and tasks for young directors. At the end of the training, Leonid's teachers — A. D. Popov and M. O. Knebel — could rightly be proud of their pupil. His graduation work in 1963, The Highway to the Big Dipper, made a big impression on the admissions office of the institute.
После выпуска из ГИТИСа с «Шоссе на Большую Bear ”Leonid Yefimovich Kheifets has already established himself as a novice director, seriously suited to his work. In the year he was invited to the post of director at the Central Academic Theater of the Soviet Army (TSATSA). Gradually, gaining the authority of his students and colleagues, in 1988, Leonid became the main director of this theater.
During this time, Heifetz Leonid Efimovich put suchfamous in that era paintings, as "Death of Ivan the Terrible" and "Uncle Vanya." And both performances have received positive feedback, and this is a great start for a novice director.
After success at TSATSA, Leonid Kheyfets transferred toThe Maly Theater, where his productions began to acquire drama, which is peculiar to the theatrical atmosphere. It was in this spirit that several performances of works by famous classical writers were staged. The most successful include the production of Fiesco's Conspiracy in Genoa, by Friedrich Schiller, and the play King Lear, one of the standard works by William Shakespeare, which is now very often chosen for staging on stage. In 1981, on the stage of the Maly Theater, the Kheyfetz revived the tradition of producing Russian prose - that year the performance for the playwright Alexander Galin’s debut was titled “Retro”.
In 1982, Heifetz decided to try himself ina slightly different incarnation - as a film director. The role of adaptation was claimed by the work of I. Goncharov "Break". And if with the male role of the main character everything was very clear, then the female images of the two sisters, Martha and Vera, were in question. On the role of the first director looked at the novice actress - she became Gundareva Natalia Georgievna.
Heifetz Leonid Efimovich, whose wife and soI got tired of endless filming, threw up my wife’s work at home, and in those crumbs of free time of rest, which fell to her lot, Natalia was forced to engage in everyday life. He brought big companies, from which the actress very quickly got tired. The last straw was the good nature of the director, with whom he once again left some of his friends to spend the night. Gundareva Natalia Georgievna could not reconcile with this - she asked her husband for a divorce. For Heifetz, the divorce was painful, however, having plunged into work, he suffered a little less. The man decided that the best scene for him would be his stage and the performances that he puts on her. So Kheifets Leonid Efimovich, whose personal life went downhill due to eternal employment, made his choice, preferring to devote himself to art without a trace.
With the arrival of Heifetz, the theater seemed to perk up:now the plays of Russian writers were increasingly being staged, the troupe happily played up difficult plots, and all the other directors woke up from sleep and gradually began to prepare new productions for the future theatrical season.
In 1988, Leonid Heifetz continued to search for theater.for his soul he chose the Moscow Mayakovsky Academic Theater (MATI). To this day, the director works in this temple of Melpomene, giving all his strength to prepare himself a worthy change - now Leonid Kheifets teaches young directors in the production of art. Moreover, this teaching experience for the director was by no means the first — in the 1980s, Leonid Efimovich taught at the Higher Theater School. M. Schepkina, and nowadays, in addition to MATI, Kheyfets is engaged in pedagogy in the Russian Academy of Theater Arts.
His directorial works left indeliblea trace in the activities of many theaters in Russia, so that the name of this person, even after his death, will still be heard there - behind his native theatrical scenes.
