The plays of Alexander Nikolaevich Ostrovsky are many andpeculiarly describe the petty bourgeois and merchant life, represented in the form of a kind and cheerful satire. One of such remarkable works has the name "The Wedding of Balzaminov", however it can be learned and under other name - "For what you will go, you will find". The play is included in the trilogy about Balzaminov. The second part is "Festive dream before dinner", the third part - "Your dogs are biting, do not bother another's!".
"The Wedding of Balzaminov" - a play that was written by the author in 1861. In the same year she was published in the magazine "Time", which was headed by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky.
Alexander Nikolaevich Ostrovsky, sendinga work in Petersburg, expressed his apologies to Dostoevsky about the delay in work due to illness and asked me to express my sincere opinion about a play that would be very important for him. Fyodor Mikhailovich did not take long to wait and answered that he had really enjoyed reading the story. Everything is very realistic and vividly written, the characters are incomparable and charismatic, these typical images seem to have been familiar to him since childhood and will never fade in his mind, but the matchmaker Krasavin comes first.
It must have been that the author himself did not suspect such success. "The marriage of Balzaminov" received a worthy assessment of the great master.
So, the main character Misha Balzaminov - smallofficial, is a great dreamer and romantic, childishly kind, naive and simple-minded person. Because of this, people around him take him for such a foolish fool.
Immediately creates the impression thatBalsaminov lives in his illusory world, and therefore he has no mutual understanding with others. What is remarkable, this young and naive person still has to somehow survive in his very simple philistine way of life, in which he turned out to be the will of fate.
The only talent of this "worthless"it would seem that man has become able to fly away from realities and dream. Belobrysiy, slender and short on the outside, in his fantasies he saw himself as a full, tall, brunette. He was timid by nature, he quivered at any stern glance and was embarrassed. However, Balzaminov could very quickly reincarnate. He suddenly imagined himself to be a brave officer who boldly walks along the street. And sometimes, in moments of great enthusiasm and enthusiasm, he even imagined himself king.
Mishenka is absolutely unsophisticated, and about wealthall his ideas are reduced only to a good waterproof carriage, gray horses and a blue cloak on velvet black lining. Every day he dreams of a decent life, but he has no means at all, so there is only one thing left: to marry a rich bride.
Very interesting and funny comes with hishero author. "The marriage of Balzaminov" ironically tells how the main character in vain walks under the windows of rich brides in the hope that today a lucky event will happen to him, and he will be noticed by magnificent unmarried young ladies. And suddenly he likes some of them, and then he will be rich, and if not, then all - will have to live a lifetime.
In general, three times Balzaminov was close to hisgoals, and fate thrice ironically laughed at him. In the first part he is expelled from the house, where he came for the bride, with exclamations: "Come in! We are bored without fools. " The second part - it's just a story on the proverb about "their", "strangers" and dogs.
"The Wedding of Balzaminov" - the play is very cheerful, in the third part of the main character in general such a fool was exposed that it was easier to fall through the ground.
But there is our sorely-groom and still very necessaryquality - he is absolutely not inclined to despair. From despair and anguish, he very quickly switches and again floats in his dreams. Tips for his comfortable future, he sees in his rainbow dreams. On the streets of Zamoskvorets and alleys, he began to walk, as a sentry to the service, afraid to miss the opportunity. But all is vain.
And here for the arrangement of his personal life is takenMother - Pavel Pavlovna Balzaminova. Mishenka himself wants to find himself a rich passion, but does not know where to look for it at all. And then his mother invites the matchmaker to the house, which really began to acquaint him with the local unmarried girls, and often this resulted in great welding and insults.
But one day, after all, Misha's dream came true. One of the most respected and wealthiest merchants, being a widow, dying of boredom and exhausted with anguish, asks the matchmaker to go in search of her fiance. And then Balzaminov accidentally turns up. Once he fell to her directly into the manor yard. The widow was good-natured, after this meeting she sends to him a matchmaker with a gold watch. Balsaminov does not remember himself with joy, only he cries that he is no longer what he was, but a completely different person.
This is how the author ended his story. The marriage of Balzaminov still took place. Straight to "fools - happiness"!
