A guest of our today's review is an extensioncdr, than to open it - a topic that we need to uncover. For users who are accustomed to working with standard Microsoft Office files, this "flight visitor" can bring some troubles. At first (until there is a program working with this type of files), many users open this file with standard office tools, fail. Our UFO task called "cdr extension" is made understandable and accessible for viewing and editing. And, believe me, this is quite possible for us.
I suggest first to determine what is hiddenunder these mysterious letters. There are not really many options. The extension cdr is used when creating vector graphics. This is a proprietary format that Corel uses in its applications. The most likely program-creator of these files is CorelDRAW.
The peculiarity of this format is not very high compatibility with third-party software. In other words, a very small number of programs are able to open this type of files.
Who are these "wizards" who are capable of overcomingextension cdr? First of all, these are programs from the Canadian company Corel (Korel), an application developer called CorelDRAW. This is a fairly common program for creating, editing, and editing graphic objects. Logically, this is the most correct approach - software from the creator of the cdr format uniquely knows how to work with it.
If before us it is not necessary to editextension cdr - you can view it by another program from Korel. It is called Corel Paint Shop Pro (Corel Paint Shop Pro). After installing this application on your PC, you will have to open the cdr file.
Information that will be useful for fanswork in CorelDRAW: Corela developers recommend saving their files for the ninth or earlier versions of CorelDRAW. This will make it easier to view or collaborate on the project.
We identified two "wizards". What else can I use to know how to open a cdr file? There are several third-party developers whose software can open these files.
One of them is ACD Systems Canvas.Manufacturers of this software promise that it will be able to "overpower" the extension cdr. The only "BUT" - this file should be created in CorelDRAW no higher than version 8. The validity of this assertion can be verified experimentally. This should be done at least because, unlike Corel products, ACD Systems Canvas is a free software product.
Another applicant, able to open the extensioncdr, called Adobe Illustrator. This is probably the most successful choice for creating and processing vector images. The Illustrator version 9.0 can open the cdr extension with one caveat: it must be cdr 10 or earlier. Given the cost of the licensed software Adobe Illustrator option "set to see whether it will open or not" looks literally golden.
If we consider the extension cdr as a vector graphics file, you can convert it to another, more common, format using special applications (converters) or on-line services.
If you are not engaged in design and are far fromthere is another option (and this is not the worst case): ask a friend who "made you happy" with his masterpiece, send it in a different format that can be opened by standard means of the OS or Microsoft Office. This will save you from having to fool yourself into installing a complex and expensive software for a one-time preview of the draft project.
There is also a possibility that the extension cdr, which you need to open, can be an audio file. Audio files in cdr format are saved after copying the contents of the CD to the hard disk. They can be opened using Apple iTunes or any other player for audio playback. It can be converted into a more familiar audio format by almost any audio converter (program for converting audio files).
"Magicians" who can open the cdr, we reviewed. Now there is only one thing left: to find the file with the extension cdr and apply its knowledge in practice. Good luck!
