Here in 1648 the “Teacher’sBrotherhood ”, which included 30 of the most competent monks gathered from all over Russia, they translated church books, taught philosophy and rhetoric, and taught those who wanted to read and write. Subsequently, a religious school was opened here, on its basis in Moscow two higher religious institutions were formed: the Academy and the University.
