Ethnicity is a collectioncultural customs, religious dogmas, norms and morals, as well as a number of other characteristics that are inherent in a particular society. Each of us is familiar with such a definition, but very few people thoroughly understand its essence, origin and nature. Therefore, in order to dispel all doubts, let us try to consider this issue within the framework of this article.
So, ethnicity is, in the first placeturn, a feature inherent in a large number of people. The range of this concept includes language, clothing, morality and law, traditions, religion, history (which may be fictitious). As we see, all of the above definitions are the fruit of life and even human creativity. They were created so that a certain group of people could have significant differences from the other. Therefore, ethnicity is something that is inherent only in a person, a being who has the opportunity to distinguish his personality from the rest not only on the basis of innate qualities, but also on the basis of acquired ones.
In different parts of our planet formillennia, various ethnic groups developed. They had their patrons (natural, fictitious or represented in the person of one person), their way of life and clothing (this factor depended on the region: in the tropics there was enough bamboo hut for life and sheets as clothes, in the north warm houses were built with the provided heating system , and as clothing used animal skins), as well as its own dialect, which served as the key to communication. Of course, at the beginning of the existence of society all the words were fictional and were not fixed on the letter.
Gradually these communities turned into states,and so the definition of ethnicity was formed. It should be noted right away that this had nothing to do with racial characteristics and does not have today. On Earth, there are not so many races: white (Europe), yellow (East), black (Africa) and red (native Americans). However, the number of ethnic groups is very difficult to count, they appear and disappear, some supplement others.
Ethnicity is the environment in whichwhich brought up a specific person. On the simplest example, one can describe the development of the subject of society in Russia. Belonging to our power and ethnos, the child speaks Russian from birth, celebrates the New Year (instead of Christmas), uses pancakes and compote for food. It is also worth noting that due to geographical location, we all realize that the winter alternates with summer, and in the first case it is warm to dress. A child born in Mexico (if he is Latino and has Spanish roots), speaks Spanish, his usual products are tacos, tortillas and ambassador, he is used to celebrating Christmas in the family circle and New Year in a noisy company. Of course, a Mexican does not need a fur coat or a coat, since in this country all the seasons are characterized by equally warm weather.
In general, the ethnicity of a persondetermines its type of behavior, temperament, type of thinking. In part, all the traditions of peoples are related to geographical location, which is why some biological features of people may also depend on them.
