The cemetery of Lublin was closed for massburials during the USSR. Today it exists as a memorial and its gates are open daily for visitors wishing to pay tribute to their families and friends. Necropolis history
The Lublin cemetery was founded in 1635.It got its name from the nearest manor and the village of Lyublino (from the 18th century, previously - Godunovo). Initially it was a typical rural churchyard where peasants were buried. From the beginning of the 18th century in Lublino, wealthy and noble families began to build summer residences and villas. Over time, the borders of Moscow also changed, and very soon the inhabitants of the nearest residential districts were buried at the Lublin cemetery. Since 1939, the official archive of burials has been maintained, in 1960 the necropolis was included in the list of Moscow, and a little later it was closed and given the status of a memorial.

Lublin cemetery is located at streetStavropol, house 74a. It works daily from 9.00 to 19.00 in the summer season and from 9.00 to 17.00 - in the winter. It is not at all difficult to get there by private and public transport. From the Tekstilshchiki metro station there are buses No. 54, 228, and from Lyublino — No. 54 and 242. You can also take the number 242 from the Volzhskaya metro station. On days of church holidays, additional public transport flights to the necropolis and back are organized. If you are driving along the Moscow Ring Road, you must turn off at the 13th kilometer from the inner lane. Then continue on Upper Fields Street, then turn right onto Maryinsky Park Street, then left onto Krasnodar Street, and the last turn is left again - Tikhoretsky Boulevard, very soon you will drive up to the main entrance to the necropolis.
