The station "Kotelniki" was launched in 2015 andbecame the 197th stop of the Moscow metro. With its launch, the mayor expressed hope that it would be much easier to travel to Moscow and back, and also stop points of the southeast direction will be unloaded. There is a station in the area near Moscow Kotelnikov. It is the last on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya branch.
The idea to build a station "Kotelniki" was born in 2012. Metropolitan Mayor SS Sobyanin instructed this mission to his deputy M. Sh. Khusnullin.
In October 2012, the first works in the district"Zhulebino" and to the station "Kotelniki". The interval of the plot was 900 meters. We built by an open method. The length of the station is 374 meters. The opening of the station "Kotelniki" occurred on September 21, 2015.
The station was built in several stages:
Station "Kotelniki" refers to the type of shallowgaskets. It was laid at a depth of 15 meters. It resembles Zhulebino in configuration, differs from it in a more “brilliant” design style, in the presence of round columns, and a smooth ceiling. The station floor is lined with red granite stone.
The station hall is decorated with granite and marble. The color palette is filled with light gray tones in harmony with the decorative steel elements.
The station has two vestibules,placed underground. They have two ways out. Northwest exit is located at the 6th microdistrict Zhulebino. The exit east leads to Novoryazanskoye highway.
In the western lobby there are three lines of escalator, in the east - four. There are elevators for people with limited mobility.

On the day the station was launched, it was used by 13,200 people.

The construction of the station helped to reduce the passengerflow on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. Thus, the Moscow government is working to optimize the transport equipment of the south-eastern districts of Moscow and the Moscow region.

The opening of the metro station "Kotelniki" isjoint successful project of the Moscow Government, as well as the leadership of the region on the development of transport. As part of this project, new roads are being built, interchanges appear, suburban roads are being reconstructed, new highways are being built.
The Moscow government expresses the hope that this station will not be the last one opened in the Moscow region. It is planned to open new metro stations.
