Flywheel - edible, tasty and fragrant mushroom

Among edible tubular mushrooms there is one, similar at the same time to the boletus, poderezovik and obobok. This flywheel is a fungus, growing both in coniferous, and in deciduous and mixed forests. And its external appearance depends on the place of distribution. That's why it is often confused with other edible brethren, and even more often they do not even know about its taste qualities, taking it for false or poisonous.

Mushroom flywheel can be collected from June to October,It grows mainly in deciduous forests, often adjacent to oak, aspen, birch and coniferous trees. Usually used in fried and dried form, has an excellent taste, but changes color in processing, becoming dark. The cap is slightly irregular in shape, matte, pillow-shaped, dry, with velvety villi pleasant to the touch. The color can vary from light green to brown and bright yellow. Flywheel - the fungus is quite large and noticeable, the diameter of the cap on average is from 40 to 110 mm.

Tubules on the back of the yellow color (inyoung mushrooms thickness from 5 mm, in older to 15 mm). First they are tightly pressed to the bonnet, as the moss grows up, they become more free and change their color to olive. In old age acquire a chestnut or bluish tint, with pressure on them remain dark traces.

The foot is dense, cylindrical, sometimes lightlythickened, grows up to 10-12 cm, in the volume can reach 1.5-2 cm. There is a distinctive feature by which it is possible to recognize the flywheel: the fungus, and the leg of his leg darkens at the cut. If initially it is yellow, then on the cut fiber becomes blue or black. If the color remains unchanged, it means that it is some other mushroom. Although the mossmen do not have false colleagues, one should be wary of suspicious unknown specimens, since there is a possibility of stumbling upon absolutely unsuitable for eating.

The flywheel is a mushroom with a pleasant, light smell, reminiscent of fruit flavor. The younger the mushroom, the more pleasant it tastes, so the best for the assembly are young or slightly grown-up individuals. The young flyworm has a rounded head, without rifts; in older mosses, it is bulky, thick, often twisted. Overgrown people quickly deteriorate, sometimes the fungus decays in a few hours. That is why it is advised to sort and prepare the forest "harvest" during the same day, when it was collected, and to eat only young, not spoiled by worms.

Because of the color of the cap, there are several subspeciesmoss: yellow-brown, green, mottled and red. They all have a similar appearance, but grow in different forests. The yellow-brown flywheel-mushroom (photo above) is one of the most common, always adjacent to the pine, and the green moss grows in deciduous forests. Often there are specimens with a mottled hat, they look original and tempting. Any of them are edible. They are well suited for drying, while the pulp retains its lemon shade and pronounced mushroom flavor. In addition to drying, you can also store fried mushrooms for future use, because they also have excellent taste qualities, are well kept and are suitable for preparing various dishes: soups, pizza, fried potatoes.
