Yakutsk Airport: description

The air harbor of the Republic of Sakha has a secondunofficial, the name - "Tuymaada." This name is the valley in which Yakutsk is located. And the name passed on to the airport terminal. As for its characteristics, quite often we will have to repeat the word "very." After all, "Yakutsk" - the airport is in many ways unique. For example, it is the only testing ground in the world where new flying machines are tested in natural conditions of low temperatures. And also this airport became the first point from which a flight over the Far North of the USSR and Siberia was made (to Irkutsk). Now the air terminal has the status of international and federal significance. It is based airline "Polar Airlines" and "Yakutia". At the moment, the passenger traffic of the airport is 850 thousand people a year. This modest figure is due to the fact that Yakutsk is not so frequently visited city. But the airport capacity is seven hundred passengers per hour! So the potential at the air station is truly enormous.
