Jaw crushers are universaland the most reliable mechanism for grinding materials. They are used as a tool for crushing slag waste, rocks, some metal materials. Dimensions of pieces of raw materials at the inlet can be up to 1500 millimeters. Crushers of small size give out the finished product in sizes up to 10 millimeters. Jaw crushers are divided into crushing classes into small, medium and large.
This unit has a lot of advantages:
- jaw crushers are fairly simple inoperation, and also cheap because of its simple design and minimum parts subject to rapid wear. Maintenance and repair of this type of equipment are low-cost, while in the technical plan are not at all complicated;
- small sizes allow them to be easily installed and transported, while they represent the optimal solution for mobile crushing complexes;
- they can be exploited in almost all conditions, since they are unpretentious to external factors;
- The discharge slit is controlled by means of a hydraulic drive, which allows it to be quickly and easily controlled;
- jaw crushers of all sizes and types are equipped with fixed cheeks that have a female form. This prevents premature wear on the machine frame.
- jaw crushers produce the final result, in which there is a large number of bushy grains, which makes it inconvenient to use them for fine crushing;
- on elastic or viscous materials - polymers, wood, metal alloys - their use is impossible. That is why the wood shredder operates on a different principle.
Types of devices
In the market, these crushers are presented inseveral inexpensive and reliable options. The first assumes a simple movement of the cheek in relation to the suspension axis. The starting product is crushed by crushing. In the second, the movement of the cheek relative to the suspension is complex. Here the material is not only crushed, but also abraded when the driving part approaches a fixed one. In the third type, both cheeks make a complex motion with respect to the suspension axis.
