"Fish is looking for where it is deep, and people - where is better"so says the interpretation of the popular proverb. And it is not so far from the truth: in the conditions of total impoverishment of the population, oppression of freedoms, lack of social support from the state and the bureaucracy reigning in business, more and more citizens are thinking about how to change the country of their citizenship. Since the October Revolution, emigration from Russia has gone five waves. As a rule, they were noble, rich, outstanding people, as well as political opponents of power and the poor, who can not survive in their homeland.
It seems that now, after the "ironthe curtain fell again, but on the part of the successful and economically developed powers, not the USSR, it's time to emigrate to the rich and talented. Nowadays, emigration from Russia is more accessible for those who have an extra million dollars or euro, which can be invested in a foreign economy. Also, there should be no problems for people who have close relatives in these states: parents, children, spouse or spouse. There is some chance for those who can prove their ethnic roots. But it is often impossible to obtain refugee status even for those who are really persecuted at home for political or other reasons.
The results of sociological surveys are discouraging:although emigration from Russia has not yet reached a gigantic scale, 83% of our compatriots are ready to change their country of residence. On the question of what state of the world the Russians are ready to call their new Homeland, the people in their sympathies are divided. Sociological centers that like to make ratings, did not ignore this problem.
The championship in the top ten, oddly enough, occupy not the United States or the countries of Europe, but Australia. No, most likely, the priority turned out to be the fact that this state in the Southern Hemisphere steadily holds the third line in the list of the countries most comfortable by economic indicators (RF, alas, in this list on the 139th place). Emigration from Russia to the United States and Canada are, respectively, the second and third places.
Germany, despite the economic crisis, shaking Europe, takes the fourth position in the ranking of the countries we have been waiting for. Similar climatic conditions, a fairly large Russian diaspora, ease of doing business make this federal state attractive. Emigration to Germany from Russia does not frighten neither long bureaucratic procedures, nor the requirements of the law to renounce Russian citizenship, nor high taxes accepted in this country. If you are an ethnic German, a Jew, or are willing to invest in the economy of a significant amount, permanent residence, and later citizenship, will be a matter of time for you.
Oasis of financial security, Switzerland, beckonspeople who have made a fortune and are trying to keep it from encroaching on the clutches of Russian monopolists. Money, as you know, like silence, and, in particular, the calmness of Swiss safes. Life in a cheerful Italy is preferred by over 5% of our fellow citizens. This country keeps the doors open to highly qualified specialists. Emigration to New Zealand from Russia, subject to this opportunity, would also attract five percent of the respondents.
