In the 1950s, artists such as V. Shubin, E. Vitorgan, T. Rumyantseva and many others began their creative work here.

Reconstruction

Its interiors, decor, even the color of the walls were restored - as they were originally. In each room was installed furniture, lighting and hung curtains for windows, as close as possible to the historical.

For the theater was built the second building - nextwith the old. The rehearsal halls, workshops, exhibition hall, workshops, in which decorations and costumes are made, are located in the new building. Thus, the historic building is entirely given to the artists, and all the technical staff moved to a new house. Today there are two halls in the theater: the main one, which holds 446 seats, and the Small - for up to 112 spectators.

Now the theater is equipped with the latest technology. The most modern and high-quality sound, light and video equipment is installed here. A recording studio has been created.

He worked as an engineer for several years and then changed his profession. At the age of 28, Grigory Mikhailovich entered the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinema.
