Over the centuries, each layersociety in politics pursued solely its own interests, and eventually those who could most adapt to certain conditions became the "helm" of government. In the political life of the country, liberals played a huge role. Who are they? First and foremost, these are people who were ardent supporters of reform, always advocating the expansion of human rights and freedoms.
Those who have never heard of wholiberals, it will be interesting to know what was first talked about in Europe at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. It was then that the social and political trend that was called "liberalism" was born. Subsequently, it was transformed into a powerful ideology. The main value for liberals was the inviolability of economic, political and civil liberties.
In Russian, the word "liberalism" came at the end of the 18th century. It was translated as "free-thinking". In this period of time, the first Russian liberals appeared.
In English, the translation of the word initially had a negative connotation - "connivance", "harmful indulgence", but later it was lost.
And yet, who are the liberals, and what are thepolitical views they adhered to? As already stressed, the highest value for them were human rights and freedoms. In addition, they advocated private property, while promoting free enterprise.
The above-mentioned social political trendformed as a means of protection against tyranny and outrage on the part of representatives of the Catholic Church and the totalitarianism of monarchs. Who are the liberals? These are those who reject the fundamental principles of some theories of state creation, namely, the fact that monarchs and kings are "anointed by God" in the kingdom. They also question that religion is the truth in "last resort".
For those who have no idea aboutthose who are liberals will be interested to know that these people are upholding the principle of equality of all citizens before the law. They are convinced that the authorities should regularly report to the people about the work done.
At the same time, representatives of liberalism believe that officials should in no way restrict human rights and freedoms.

It should be noted that liberalism in the modernform is also zealously defending the ideas of pluralism and respect for the principles of democracy in the management of society.
