Before pouring the mold, the blank is carefully lubricated with a thick soap solution, which is given time to dry. Then one half of the box is filled with alabaster. The missing wall is preliminarily closed with any suitable object (a piece of fiberboard, a plastic plate or glass).
In the resulting solution lies sideways billet andpressed in about half. Immediately after this, the guides are pressed into the mold. As these, you can use metal washers, bearing balls or small coins. The form should harden well, and after that with a sharp knife it is necessary to remove all the existing irregularities and excess layers of alabaster.
Such operations are performed in order tothe blank is easily pulled out of the mold. Its removal should be done very carefully to prevent damage. After the blank has been taken out of the mold, the sprue and places for hot gases to exit must be cut with a knife. The first half of the form is completely ready. It is necessary to insert the blank back into it, cover everything with soap to prevent the second half of the form from sticking to it.
After drying the soap, combine the first halfform with the second box. Expose both boxes should be so that the missing wall was at the top. They are gently squeezed clamp. Fill the second half of the form with a mixture of alabaster and PVA glue, make sure that the filled solution fills the whole space without the formation of voids and bubbles. In order to get a quality balancedo it yourself, the last stage is left - its casting. To facilitate removal of the balancer, the print on the form is covered with a soap-graphite solution.
