Pottery - the oldest form of homeutensils. Since ancient times, clay was used by man to create dishes and containers for storing the most valuable and necessary products - oil, grain, wine, water, etc. And this is not only because it was one of the most accessible and easily processed natural materials. Earthenware pots had the necessary qualities that helped keep products for a long time fresh. The porous structure of such utensils at the same time protected food from exposure to excessive moisture, but at the same time its walls "breathed", let in air, preventing possible decay and overdrying.
Особая роль принадлежит керамике в домашнем floriculture. For a long time, earthenware pots were the only and irreplaceable containers that were used for breeding and planting pot plants. It now appeared their plastic and glass counterparts. However, it should be noted that many people prefer traditional ceramic pots, as they are still more useful for living plants. The main advantage of them is the same porous structure of the walls, which allows evaporation of excess moisture, so the roots are less susceptible to decay, in addition, through the micropores to the roots the air flows, which they also need. Large earthenware pots with plants look more aesthetically pleasing, their natural color, as well as the form and artistic execution complement the beauty of the living tree, creating a single composition. However, the porous structure of ceramic pots is also a major drawback, as it reduces their useful life. The pores are clogged with harmful organic salts deposited on the walls, they fall into the soil and into the root system of the plant. In addition, in such containers, due to intensive moisture exchange, the root system overcooling occurs, for example, if the pot is left in a cold room or outdoors during the cold season.
