Mussels baked with cheese - a dish for real gourmets

Mussels baked with cheese are tasty andA simple appetizer that will decorate any table. There are many recipes for this dish in many cuisines of the world, with various sauces and ingredients.

  • mussels in the shells - 10 pieces;
  • butter - 30 g;
  • dry white wine;
  • cheese (parmesan) - 100 gr;
  • garlic;
  • tomato - 1 pc;
  • lemon - 1 piece;

  • pepper ground black;
  • cream (preferably fat).

Preparation

First of all, mussels must be marinated for 10minutes in white wine and lemon juice, adding a little black pepper. Tomatoes and onions are diced and fried with butter over low heat for a couple of minutes. Next, remove the vegetables, add another piece of butter to the pan, squeeze a spoonful of cream and squeeze a small clove of garlic, put the mussels down and simmer on the pan for ten minutes, then turn them over and simmer a little more. Parmesan cheese is rubbed on a coarse grater.

For example, cream sauce, for the preparation of which you need:

  • 1 onion;
  • ground pepper;
  • 1 tablespoon flour;
  • 300 ml of cream with 30% fat;
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream;
  • 30 grams of butter;
  • salt.

Onion finely chopped and friedlow heat along with butter. When the onion gets a golden hue, flour is added to the pan and fry for another 1 to 2 minutes. Then you should add cream, bring to a boil and let it fry for another 2 - 3 minutes. Then you need to add sour cream and to taste salt and pepper.

The sauce is poured into pre-cookedmussels, in each sink approximately one tablespoon, the cheese is rubbed on top and everything is baked in the oven. Mussels, baked with cheese and cream sauce, are decorated with greens and lemon slices before serving. It is better to serve them hot.

Another interesting way how you canto diversify baked mussels is to add spiciness with wasabi sauce. Mussels are prepared and marinated in the same way as in the first recipe, but instead of vegetables, wasabi sauce mixed with mayonnaise and herbs is added as a filling. The amount of ingredients that is required for the preparation of this sauce, you need to count in the amount of one tablespoon for one shell of mussels. Further, as in the previous versions, everything is sprinkled with cheese and baked.
