The Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict arose because of theterritory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Even in the times of the Soviet Union, this land belonged to the Azerbaijan Republic. Only the USSR has not existed for more than 20 years, and the problem has remained unsolved until now. And so far it's standing still. The heads of states applying for this territory can not agree among themselves, but what can we say about the population of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Karabakh conflict
Началось это противостояние еще в далекие 80-е years, when Armenians began to ask the government to give Karabakh under the authority of Armenia. The Azerbaijanis, who lived in this territory, protested. Everyone began to pull the blanket over. That's where the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict flared up, which has not abated until now. Shootings occur regularly on this territory. Attempts to reconcile citizens who were almost equally in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh were useless.
Maybe because of the stubbornness of both statesArmenian-Azerbaijani conflict does not move from dead center. 1992 was marked as the peak of opposition, and the republic became one of the hot spots of the East. The war began between the residents of the republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenia and Azerbaijan received armed support from Russia, which tried to control the conflict in this way. And only when in 1994 the Russian peacekeeping troops entered the territory of Karabakh, did the hostilities cease.
Modern solutions to the problem
Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict at the momentfar from allowed. The territory of Nagorno-Karabakh still officially belongs to Azerbaijan, and they extort official and legal citizenship from the Armenians, otherwise they demand to leave the country. A few months ago, an Armenian soldier died in the confrontation zone. This was the cause of a conflict with a new force. Sometimes gunfire is ignited between troops.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan announced thatsupport the solution of this problem only through negotiations. If Azerbaijan provokes military actions, they will go far beyond the borders of the territory of a state like Nagorno-Karabakh. According to Sargsyan, it is impossible to prevent a conflict of such magnitude, since this will entail enormous human sacrifices. But the Azerbaijani government categorically refuses to negotiate and insists on a military solution to the problem.
