Park "Kyoto" is located in the left-bank part of Kiev, in the territory of Desnyanskiy district.
To get here, you need to sit on the red branchmetro and get to the station. "Chernigov" or to "Forest". The territory of the park stretched more than a kilometer just between the two stations. It is best to go to the "Forest" in the direction of the homonymous street of Kyoto, turn left and go a few hundred meters past the shopping center.
Park "Kyoto" is located near the lively Brovarsky avenue, however, the noise of cars absolutely does not interfere with enjoying the local beauties.
Little "Japan" appeared in the heartEastern European state in 1972. The reason for creating a recreational zone was the establishment of friendly diplomatic relations between Kiev and the Japanese city of Kyoto, as well as the signing of the relevant document.
Park "Kyoto" in Kiev was created in the traditional Japanese style by masters from the Land of the Rising Sun. Here grow tall slender pines, Japanese maples and, of course, sakura!
Masters tried to make Kiev parkmost similar to traditional Japanese gardens. Here you can see the 5-meter pagoda - an exact reduced copy of the Kyoto monument. According to the basics of Buddhism, the pagoda has a beneficial effect on the surrounding area. By the way, it was transferred to Kiev as a gift from Japan. Sakura (or pink cherry), as is known, is a sacred plant for every inhabitant of this country, and admiring its flowering is an integral part of Japanese culture.
The organizers of this event planned thatAlley planted will be one of the longest in Europe. However, the result exceeded their expectations: Kyoto Park was in the prestigious Guinness Book of Records.
World record fixing took place lateryear. Alley Sakur in Kiev was officially recognized as the longest on the planet! Representatives of the commission counted in her 360 seedlings of this beautiful plant.
