Colorful playgrounds, unusual sculptures,art museum in the open air - this unique place is known not only in Kiev, but also far beyond its borders. The name of this Kiev object is the Landscape alley. Where is it located, how to get there and what can you see there?
Find this alley on the ground is not so easy. After all, it is located in the rear of the central streets of the Ukrainian capital and is hidden from view.
The avenue is located within the so-calledOld town (administratively, this is a modern Shevchenko district). It stretches from the house at number 7A in Desyatinny Lane (near the Museum of History of Ukraine) to the building number 38 on Bolshaya Vladimirskaya, that is almost a kilometer.
A landscape alley (or just a Landscape) isa modern walking zone in the center of Kiev. It is completely pedestrian, cars do not go here. Avraam Miletsky, a talented architect of Jewish origin, took part in the bookmark of the Landscape avenue in Kiev. In his huge record, such well-known Kyiv projects as the Memorial of Eternal Glory, the Palace of Pioneers and others. The idea to create an art museum on the wasteland for the GreatZhitomirskaya Street belongs to Olga Kondratskaya. But most of the sculptures were made by the famous Kiev sculptor Konstantin Skretutsky. This bright and extraordinary master has been decorating the streets and squares of the city with amazing works for many years.
The creation of an art museum in the Landscape took about half a million hryvnia. It is interesting that a part of this sum was collected by tenants of neighboring houses.
Near the Landscape alley are tractsPotters and Goats. People have lived there for a long time. Today these tracts are also densely built up by cottages. They are connected with the Old Town by an unusual wooden staircase, which ends at the very end of the landscape alley.
This staircase is one of the oldest in Kiev.On it went back in the XVII century! But in the 80 years of the last century, this wooden staircase (in the people - "wooden") was chosen by informal and hippies. Here they regularly gathered in the evenings, drank wine, listened to forbidden songs and uttered rebellious speeches. Informal personalities, by the way, can be found on this ladder to this day.
