English writer and publicist Herbert GeorgeWells is the author of many fantastic works that glorified him all over the world and translated into many languages: “Time Machine”, “War of the Worlds”, “People Like Gods”, “Island of Dr. Moreau” and others. Fiction writers have repeatedly predicted incredible scientific discoveries, this is a well-known fact. Wells, by the way, long before Einstein and Minkowski showed in the novel “The Time Machine” that the real world is nothing more than a four-dimensional space-time substance.
In another book (War of the Worlds) the writerpredicted modern wars with the use of poisonous substances and laser weapons. What did he come up with in his most paradoxical and popular work of Wells - The Invisible Man? A summary of the answer to this difficult question would have sounded like this: his hero made an attempt to change and speed up the life processes in the body. How seriously the scientific community treats writers' fantasies can be determined from the fact that the book caused a storm of discussions. The calculations were made the most scientifically sound. The conclusion of scientists was unequivocal: the invisible state is contrary to common sense, and therefore it is impossible. This dispute began in 1897, since the publication of the work, and has not yet ended.

The protagonist, the brilliant physicist Griffin, appears on a dank day in a small tavern, wrapped in a raincoat and hiding his face under a hat, bandages and huge glasses. Gradually, the reader learns that strangethe visitor described by G. Wells from the first lines is the invisible man. He tells his story to a long-time friend, also a scientist named Kemp, and the reader then finds out what happened to him. Griffin conducted experiments, invented a device that makes a living organism invisible, and a drug for bleaching blood. When the money for the experiments was not enough, he spent the experience on himself, deciding to take such an unusual look and get a lot of benefits from it. But it turned out to be not so simple, and Wells brightly describes his ordeal.
"The Invisible Man": a summary of the novel about the superman
Yes, this is the task the author sets himself:an evil genius who opposed himself to all mankind cannot and should not survive. It is strange that filmmakers allowed themselves to interpret differently the accents that Wells clearly set. “The Invisible Man” (a brief summary of the idea of the film of the same name by A. Zakharov) was embodied on the Russian screen: Griffin is an incomprehensible talent, and Kemp is an evil genius who is trying to prevent him from making great discoveries for the salvation of humanity. In the novel, all wrong. Mr. Wells himself has an inverse relationship to this. The Invisible Man (a brief content cannot contain all the brightness of the dialogues and discussions of the heroes) is the same evil genius who wants to create a kingdom of terror and through the fear of people to seize power over the world. But he alone is powerless, he needs shelter, food, help, and therefore he came to Kemp's house.
He, however, is not going to help him, herealizes that the madman must be stopped, and calls the police secretly from his guest. Griffin is being harassed, and he, in turn, opens the hunt for his friend who has betrayed him. The reader catches himself thinking that he sometimes sympathizes with this anti-hero — the too-sophisticated methods of harassment are experienced, as Wells describes, the invisible man. The summary of the book is quite vividly conveying the inhuman suffering to which a person has found himself, who wished to rise above all.
The hero is very vulnerable:he is invisible only completely naked, but if he gets hurt or dirty, eat food or water, he begins to leave marks. This is what hunters use. Roads are strewn with broken glass, the whole world has turned against him and is persecuting. After all, he is only being alive and unharmed, as Wells, the invisible man, writes. The main characters, perhaps, are himself, an evil genius who has challenged humanity, and the rest of humanity. And he is defeated. Life leaves him, and the transparent outlines of the pitiful, wounded, naked “superman,” albino Griffin, who turned his evil talent into scholars, gradually emerge on earth. And so he lost.
